Bringing it home

Updated: Nov 1, 2019

Media personalities and celebrities and sports people can write all the books they want, do all of the 60 Minute or Denton interviews they want... and that is fantastic, it certainly helps to start conversations among some... but what if you could be a fly on the wall of a conversation between 4 Robinvale locals as they discuss their battles with depression and mental illness, and caring for those that are fighting the battle.

Well, that's what we've done.

A huge thanks to Juscinda & Tom for reaching out and offering to tell their story, which encouraged my husband Luke to finally get it off his chest and join the conversation. That's what we really want to do. Just start the conversation.

This is a raw, candid and brutally honest conversation between four people at Loft 13 (as you can hear) with the joy of kids playing in the background, but that's our life. Not the life of someone talking to you from LA, Sydney or London. It's someone telling their story to you, from the town you call home, in the hope that you might connect with it, and start a conversation with someone close to you, or reach out for help you may not know you needed.

Please be aware though that there are discussions about suicide attempts, depression, bi polar disorder, alcohol, drugs and plenty more that kids probably shouldn't be exposed to just yet. Let them keep their innocence.
