Seeing as though there was a public holiday in the middle of the week, it seemed like a good idea to kill two birds with one stone and record this week's podcast on Cup Day at the Robinvale Golf Club.
TAB, sponsor credit & podcast DONE! However, we needed a guest co-host after Donny was a late scratching in the morning, so we'd had such a good reaction to Tom Lister a few weeks ago, it seemed like a good idea to call the man with the deep husky voice so many seemed to be soothed by. (Not kidding, we had a lot of feedback telling us that the sound of Tom's voice was calming and soothing.) Who'd have thought the man who is a self proclaimed lover of beer would be bang up for any activity at the golfy on cup day!
It's nice to have a little bit of comic relief to be honest, but I don't think anyone would've thought Jack and Tom would be such a funny comedy duo, but there is certainly potential there even if Jack is a little dusty from a rather large Cup Eve celebrating the success of the Lantern Festival.
Vicki Boram comes in for a wrap on the Country Halls Tour in Boundary Bend and an update on junior cricket.
Jake Hinterholzl is on the phone to discuss his time at the Ski Racing World Championships in France & Gabi Fong also has some cleanliness tips as well as news in Mandarin.
Stick around until the end when, after a couple of breakfast beers, Tom takes the opportunity to discount his Dad's chances on MasterChef, and offers his opinions on such things as sarsaparilla.
